About Us
The Cursed Navy
The Cursed Navy (TCN) is made up of pilots who have a long history together in Eve. Currently there are only 12 pilots on the roster (6-7 active pilots) who are highly skilled and enjoy flying together.
We run missions, we enjoy trips into low sec, we wage the odd war, and we can also mine when the mood takes us. We have many assets (including a freighter) and have "Cap Ship Ready" pilots.
Background
TCN started early in 2006. The structure was unorthodox with management consisting of 3 danish people equally in charge. TCN quickly became a popular place due to its democratic structure and sincere members wanting to help make the corp strong.
Inevitably we were wardecced by a corporation trying to blackmail and scam us for a lot of isk. They greatly outmanned and outgunned us, but we sat tight and fought back when we had the opportunity... We put up a strong resistance and managed to destroy some expensive ships. However, our corp of mostly new people couldn't compete well and we ended seeking safety within The IAC Alliance.
Since then TCN have been in 2 other alliances, however, the demands of 0.0 life didn't suit the majority of our members and therefore our time in iPOD (in Curse) and Apocalyptica (in the Drone Regions) was short lived.
Early in 2007 real life issues and different desires in game lead to many of our pilots going their own way leaving behind the core of experienced players we have today.
The Present
We are currently based in Empire and have one office. All members fly in the same region, so, even if we don't fly together help is never far away. In fact the willingness to adhere to this simple rule is a condition of entry to TCN. We have chosen the system for our office with care as it is close to everything a pilot could need, missions, low sec and trade hubs.
The fact that we all fly in the same area of space makes for a very close corp, there is nothing like seeing your corp mates as you go about your day to day business.
As a corp we do what we enjoy. If someone thinks it would be fun to go to low sec, declare a war, run missions together, or set up a mining op there is nothing to stop them suggesting it to the corp. People may even join in! We have a leadership structure, but the leaders are very used to being told to F*** Off!
TCN is a great place for new players, our friendly experienced members can help financially, with advice and with training. Although our recruitment policy is stated elswhere we do like having a couple of newer characters as they keep the corp fresh and we, the older members, get a chance to feel good!
